How is the length of the counselling journey?
There is no standard length in general. The counselling duration mainly depends on one’s needs. Plans of the counselling process will be discussed and reviewed frequently. You have the right to terminate anytime you are ready.
What will happen in the initial session?
Before starting the counselling journey, assessment is needed for better understanding of your background and needs. Besides completing administrative work of registration, standardized assessment will be taken place in the initial session. The counselling plan will be discussed together in order to achieve and adjust the expectation.
Can I contact the counsellor outside the session?
You may contact me via email outside the session for rescheduling and follow up purposes only. in case of an emergency, you are advised to contact emergency services agencies immediately. You can call local emergency numbers or visit the Accident and Emergency Department at your nearest hospital for immediate support.
Will my conversation with the counsellor be kept confidential?
All information collected once you formally entered the process of treatment will be treated as strictly confidential. Exceptions to this confidentiality policy may occur ONLY under the following conditions:
- Danger to self or others
- Court order
What is the payment method?
Bank transfer is accepted for payments in the United Kingdom. For payments in Hong Kong, Faster Payment System (FPS) is accepted.
Will you offer face-to-face session?
I mainly provide online counselling service to people in need. Since I am currently practicing in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, you may contact me directly for my availabilities to provide face-to-face session currently. For clients outside this county in the United Kingdom and in Hong Kong, I can only provide online counselling.
